Do you think that following Jesus in the modern world is often confusing and hard? Come join Central Conversations to talk about important issues related to Christian faith. Prior to each discussion, participants should listen to an interview or talk by a Christian author on the topic of that conversation using the links provided below. We will meet online on Zoom to discuss it together; please email or text Pastor Mike Farley (mfarley@centralpres.com; 314-630-5702) for the Zoom link. We look forward to great dialogue as we help each other understand and apply our faith more deeply to all of life.
What Is Protestantism?

Christian churches are either Protestant, Roman Catholic, or Eastern Orthodox. But what does it mean to be Protestant? Is there any unity among the large number of different kinds of Protestant churches? What are some major ways that Protestant Christians agree and disagree with Catholic and Orthodox Christians? Reformed scholar Gavin Ortlund and Lutheran scholar Jordan Cooper answer these questions and highlight Protestant views of our roots in ancient and medieval church history and the unity and authority of the church.
