Is Your Generosity Having an Impact?
December 18, 2024
Each week during worship we are reminded of Central’s vision: The transformation of our lives, our communities, and the world through the renewing work of Jesus Christ, for the glory of God. As we live out the gospel, as we connect, grow, and serve - each other, our communities and beyond - we see this vision become more and more a reality.
Central’s Sunday school communities can be wonderful opportunities for connection, growth, and even service. While many of these groups have continued to meet over the past year via online tools such as Zoom, it has certainly been more difficult to experience the same sense of community and discipleship. So, it is with great joy that we announce the return of in-person Sunday school communities starting this Sunday, April 11.
For the balance of this semester (through May 23) the following communities will be meeting on Sunday mornings. We will then begin the usual “summer break,” and reassess the Sunday schedule prior to the start of the annual Fall ministry kick-off.
If you have any questions regarding children’s or student’s Sunday school, please contact Karen Brown. For adult Sunday school questions, please contact Pastor Mike Farley.
You can learn more about the adult Sunday school communities including their current topics by visiting centralpres.com/ministries/classfinder
While the statistics pertaining to the pandemic are improving, COVID-19 is obviously still with us, and Central remains committed to adhering to all St. Louis County guidelines. Accordingly, preregistration will be required for attending any Sunday school classes, capacity is limited, masks remain a requirement at all times while on Central’s campus, and we ask everyone to be vigilant about social distancing.
Registration for Sunday school has now been added to the same form as worship registration. While this obviously makes the form a little longer and there’s more “scrolling” we hope the “one stop shopping” approach is convenient for you. Beginning next week, look for access to this form on the home page of our website.
Thank you for your ongoing patience, creativity, and cooperation during a time that has been as challenging and unique as any of us has ever experienced. Please join us in on-going prayer for relief from the pandemic, for healing for those among us who may be ill, and for Jesus’ continued work to transform our lives, our communities, and the world.
